About Ayr Archery Club

Ayr Archery Club was originally founded in 1951 and the current club was re-founded in 1969. The club enjoys a fabulous shooting ground at Craigie Campus in Ayr, on the west Coast of Scotland, which will probably rank as one of the best shooting grounds available in the country. Members The club currently has around 30 members including both Senior and Junior members.

Indoors

The club shoots on Friday nights at Carrick Academy Maybole with the season starting in September and running until the start of April, shooting starts at 19:30 until 22:00 Also shoots on a Sunday at 13:00 until 16:00. During the season we compete in the British Archer Postal League, the Scottish Postal League and the Ayrshire League where we compete against other, relatively, local clubs once a month.

Outdoors

The club has two shooting nights outdoors, at Craigie park in AyrTuesday nights for practice/tuning etc with Thursday nights being kept for shooting rounds only. The season starting on the 7th of April and keeps running until September, The club is accessible from 1800 until light spoils our fun. We have our own club hut where, after a hard night’s shooting you can relax with a nice hot cup of tea.
